Requirements to post a listing

Ready to showcase your amazing talents? Awesome. Here’s a quick and clear guide on how to get your first listing live on Sisu Talents.

✅ Step 1: Complete Your Profile

Before you can post anything, your profile needs to be fully filled out. That includes:

  • Name or company name
  • Address
  • VAT number (if applicable)
  • TIN number (Tax Identification Number)
  • Email address

Once your details are in, you’ll connect your Stripe account so we can send your earnings straight to your bank after each completed order. These steps are the boring part, but mandatory due to the regulations we have to follow to run a marketplace.

Heads up: talent accounts on Sisu Talents are currently available for freelancers based in the European Economic Area (EEA). This is one of the core values of the platform: our rates reflect European living costs, so freelancers can build a real career here without being undercut by global race-to-the-bottom pricing.

🔍 Step 2: We’ll Review Your Listing

Every new listing on Sisu Talents goes through a short admin review before it goes live. We check that it’s clear, complete, not duplicated, and follows our Terms and Conditions and basic quality standards. Once you’ve got a track record of good listings, reviews are typically quick.

Note: if your profile is not fully verified or it’s missing information, you can still create a new listing, but it will stay in pending until you’ve filled out all the necessary information on your profile and your Stripe account is connected. If you encounter any issues, do not hesitate to contact us.

🛠️ What Does a Listing Need?

Sisu Talents supports four listing types — Fixed Price, Per Word, Hourly, and Portfolio — each designed for a different way of working. You can find detailed instructions in our article “How to post a new listing at Sisu Talents“. Here’s a quick list of what you need to include at the bare minimum:

  • A good, descriptive title
  • A relevant category and subcategory
  • A cover image — this is what people see first in search results, so show off a bit!
  • Gallery items — up to 3 extra items: image, video, audio, or PDF (video and audio clips must be 30 seconds or shorter)
  • Experience level for the skill in this listing
  • A clear description of what you offer
  • Delivery time (in days)
  • Price (minimum is 10€)
  • Your working hours
This helps set realistic delivery expectations. If someone orders on your day off, the delivery time starts when you’re back at work. Fair is fair.

🌟 Optional (But Awesome) Additions

Wanna make your gig shine? Consider adding:

  • Revisions (how many edits do you offer?)
  • Languages you speak or work in
  • Packages — offer variants like “Basic”, “Standard” and “Premium” so clients can pick the option that fits them
  • Extras (like faster delivery or add-ons)
  • Tags to help people find your services more easily
  • Requirements (anything you need from the client before starting — short text, long text, or file upload)
  • A thank-you note or purchase message they’ll see right after ordering

💡 Pro Tips

  • Double-check everything before submitting.
  • Keep your offers clear and honest. Remember, it’s better to add a bit on the delivery time rather than promising too much.
  • Use tags and extras smartly to stand out in searches.
  • Put your strongest work first — your cover image and first gallery item are the ones clients see before opening the listing.
